Yeah!  From Saturday 27th February there will be no restrictions for travelers from any part of Australia coming to Queensland; and with no border declarations required.

Queensland will once again have its borders open to the entire country from 1:00am AEST on Saturday.  The wonderful people from the Greater Melbourne hotspot will be allowed back in. A big welcome is extended.

On the other hand Queensland has just removed New Zealand as a ‘safe travel country’ because of increased community transmission in NZ.  All ‘green flights’ coming into Queensland were suspended from 6:00pm AEST Wednesday 24 February 2021.

Full details of flights to and from Cairns, and related Exemplar services, are on our site here: COVID/Flights and Transfers.

Exemplar remains open for business. We are committed to assisting you in every way possible, including the taking of special measures to ensure you are Covid-safe.

Given the current exceptional circumstances, you may be reluctant to initiate travel arrangements.

Be assured that any booking that is cancelled outside 24 hours of intended time of travel will receive a 100% refund.

We are fully compliant and have recently received formal certification from the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC).

As a consequence of the discovery of the new virus strain it is now mandatory that:

•    All passengers and staff on domestic flights must wear a mask.
•    Persons in the terminal must wear a mask.

Also, as of Saturday 9th Jan, Exemplar management has made it also mandatory for all drivers to wear masks in our vehicles and when in close contact with passengers.

Social distancing and regular, thorough cleaning underpin our operations continues. Exemplar's procedures are here.

If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 (coughing, fever, headache, breathing difficulties etc.), please postpone your trip.

The COVID Ready Badge identifies Exemplar as a COVID-ready business and reflects that Exemplar is currently operating in line with the NCCC COVID-safe guidelines and the Queensland Government guidelines.

The Tourism Trade Checklist Badge identifies Exemplar as complying with Australia's trusted Tourism-Trade Business Checklist.

Since the beginning of the crisis, we have been adapting our schedule to maximise our services during the travel windows.
