OVERVIEW
The Queensland border is open to all states and territories, except NSW.
Unfortunately, Greater Sydney was declared a coronavirus hotspot from 1:00am Monday 21st December and Queensland's borders were closed to all residents of Sydney from that time.
Queenslanders arriving home after 1:00am on Tuesday must get tested and go into mandatory hotel quarantine for 14 days at their own expense.
People who have been to other parts of NSW must apply for a Queensland Border Declaration Pass before they enter Queensland.
A more contagious strain of Covid -19 has been diagnosed in Brisbane. Authorities have taken steps to ensure the spread of this new variety is minimized.
On Friday 8th the National Cabinet met with the Prime Minister and passed a new ruling regarding wearing masks. See Covid-19 Safe notes below for Exemplar ramifications.
